About Lord Byron
To be sincere, I’m hesitant about pulling together a synthesis of my work because it’s tedious and difficult to assemble a set of images that defines who I am as a photographer. Some of my best imagery has never been seen or released to the general public. Still, I have worked hard to sequence the imagery into what I consider collector’s editions in order to create a genuine visual experience for all.

My approach to image making is primal incorporating three photographic ideals: directness, good balance and elegance. None of my imagery is overdone as I seek to convey ageless reality imbued with classic style. Whether I’m capturing the aesthetics of luxury brands, the grandeur of humanity or the splendor of planet earth I remain true to the undiminished vividness of life.
I snub the idea of being classified as a singular kind of photographer or becoming known for a specific image. So for decades I’ve been demanding and pressing myself to create classic photographs that will define my pictorial legacy as a whole.
In 2008 my flawless wife and I uprooted from a comfortable lifestyle in Naples, Florida and returned to southern California. Our exodus and rebirth had a profound impact upon my imagery. The move and the dynamics in our relationship served as a catalyst for a shift of sorts in my career and my images became more powerful, heavier and more evocative. Each image, when finished serves as a unique sentiment, a different emotion, a definitive touchstone in my life and ultimately in the lives of my clients.
My relentless thanks goes to them and to everyone who has pressed me to perfect my craft. In particular, I have enjoyed much assistance from a fellow colleague and accomplished photographer, Michael J. Barnes based out of Naples, Florida. I love him as a blood brother and consistently look to him for his valuable insight and requests for prayer.
Last but never least, I thank my ever so lovely wife, Bridget Mary, whom I love beyond all reason. Bridget is my very best friend, mother of my three greatest treasures, my compass star, pearl from the deep blue, Bonnie to my Clyde and I absolutely owe her all that I am and do♥.
